WE HEART COFFEE, AND COFFEE HEARTS YOU.

We always rave about the health benefits of our HIGH-PERFORMANCE SUPERFOOD INFUSED COFFEE blends. We also get asked a lot of questions and want to do our best to inform and inspire our customers to live a healthy, happy + wholesome life.

One of the main questions we are faced with is "Should I be worried about drinking coffee and the impact on my heart health?" Grab a brew lovely, have we got a little news for you...

CAFFIENE + YOUR HEART. SOME FACTS & FIGURES.

  • Drinking one or more cups of caffeinated coffee a day may reduce the risk of heart failure. Trials conducted by the American Heart Association Journal found that the more coffee people drank, the lower their risk for heart failure. Across some of the studies, the risk of heart failure fell by 5%-12% per cup of coffee per day, compared to people who drank no coffee. In others, there was no change in heart failure risk for people who drank one cup of coffee per day, but a 30% lower risk for those drank two cups or more.[1]
  • There’s evidence to suggest that drinking 3+ cups of coffee per day can protect against a build up of plaque inside the arteries which can prevent blood from flowing normally. This is known as atherosclerosis, which is a major factor for heart disease.[2]
  • Caffeine may improve the health of the cells which line the arteries and veins + strengthen their ability to recover from damage.
  • Intake of caffeine induces the movement of a specific protein into the mitochondria which helps protect heart muscle cells + helps to repair the heart muscle.[3]

Of course, all of the above benefits go hand in hand with a healthy and balanced lifestyle. So drinking 10 cups of coffee is not going to save your life (+ it’s not recommended either), but your 5th cup isn’t doing any harm.

So yes, you can breathe a sigh of relief and continue to love BONDI COFFEE as a key part of your healthy, balanced lifestyle.
