Mental Health Awareness Week takes place from 18-24 May 2020 and is hosted by the Mental Health Foundation. This year, the theme is kindness.
Mental Health AwarenessWeek is the UK’s National Week to raise awareness of Mental Health inspiring action to promote the message of good mental health for all.
During Mental Health Awareness Week, hundreds of events take place around the country to raise awareness. Schools, businesses, community groups and people in their own homes host events to raise money for the Mental Health Foundation.
This year will be slightly different of course, but that doesn't mean awareness will go unnoticed or forgotten. More than ever, we're being encourgaed to lean in and address our mental health.
COVID-19 has put more pressure on our minds than ever before which is why this year, here at Bondi Coffee, we want to raise as much awareness as possible.
Our team have first hand experience of mental health struggles which is why it is at the forefront of our minds and thoughts especially this week.
We wanted to share a list of the ways in which you can virtually support Mental Health Awareness Week.
1. Get Involved.
3. Reach Out.
4. Be Kind.
It may not sound like a lot, but reaching out to ask someone how they really are, can be the difference between suffering in silence and feeling like you have a support network.
There's safety in numbers and we want you to know you are never alone.
Speaking out or asking for help doesn't make you weak infact, it makes you strong.
